Local Committees and trustees of the Kingdom of Serbia Association marked our Patron Saint Day on February 26th, 2016. The traditional “slava” cake was cut in churches in Belgrade, Indjija, Koceljeva, Kraljevo, Nis, Aleksinac, Novi Sad, Krusevac, Lazarevac, Vranje, Subotica, Aleksinac etc.

“Slava” cake (ser. slavski kolač) is traditional bread that Serbs make for their Patron Saint Day. It is taken in the church on the morning of the Patron Saint Day, where priest read the prayers dedicated to the Patron Saint and then cut the slava cake, making the sign of cross on it and pours it with wine.
