HRH Princess Danica
Her Royal Highness Princess Danica married His Royal Highness Prince Philip in Belgrade 7 October 2017. The Princess was born in Belgrade in 1986 and lived in Paris since 1992. Princess Danica completed most of her studies in Paris. She graduated in graphic design and visual communications at the Academy of Applied Arts in Paris, as well as at the Comparative Literature and Slavistics Studies at Sorbonne-Paris University. In London, the Princess got her her Master’s degree in Graphic Design and Communication at the Chelsea College of Art and Design – University of Art in London.
Well known under the artistic name Dana MAAR, besides the basic profession of graphic design, Princess Danica creatively expresses herself as a collagist. Her already recognizable style is manifested through the collages she creates and actively exhibits through solo and group exhibitions and art fairs, thus becoming part of the cultural milieu of both Belgrade and Paris.
Among numerous solo exhibitions in Belgrade Her Royal Highness had solo exhibitions in Parisians galeries : Galerie Origines and Galleries Artessepia within the Carré Rive Gauche event, Saint-Germain des Près, in 2007 and 2008. Her collages have also been exhibited in the Biennale of Contemporary Art in Paris in 2008, 2010 and 2014. The Princess is a member of the Association of Fine and Applied artists of Serbia (ULUPUDS) in the design section since 2010.
From many of her own projects within Her Royal Highnesses basic profession of graphic design and visual communications, her project: “Portraits of Architects- Retrospective exhibition of the members of the architectural section of ULUPUDS 1953-2010″ was awarded the BINA (Belgrade International Week of Architecture) for the Architectural event of 2010, as well as the Award of the Salon of May of the Association of Fine and Applied Artists of Serbia (ULUPUDS) in 2011.
