Kingdom of Serbia Association has successfully organized another visit to our people and holy shrines in Kosovo and Metohija in the period from 19th to 21st August this year. On this occasion, we delivered a large quantity of humanitarian aid in the form of food and hygiene products to our monasteries and vulnerable population.
Members of the Association from Belgrade, Indjija, Sremska Mitrovica, Kraljevo, Kruševac, Velika Plana, Smederevska Palanka, Trstenik, Niš, Aleksandrovac and other cities in Serbia went to Kosovo and Metohija during this visit.
The Association has visited Dečani monastery, the Peć Patriarchate, the monastery Budisavce, Devič Monastery near Srbica and Velika Hoča, where we spent the night.
During the second day of the tour, we visited the monastery of Holy Archangels, the city of Prizren, and the churches of Our Lady and St. George, the monastery Draganac near Gnjilane, Gračanica Monastery, Gazimestan and at the end the city of Kosovska Mitrovica.
During the visit and talks with the people and monks, we got acquainted with the problems of our people in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as with all the complexities of their life and survival in the southern Serbian province. We invite all people of good will who are in the opportunity to support our people in Kosovo and Metohija, because they are the only guardians of our culture and identity in this area and as long as they are there, our cultural and spiritual wellspring will exist, from which we all draw strength and origin .
We owe great and immense gratitude to Mr. Momčilo Zlatković, friend of the Kingdom of Serbia Association, who provided a significant part of the aid that was delivered on this occasion.
This visit was organized in cooperation with the Office for Kosovo and Metohija of the Government of the Republic of Serbia! We send our gratitude to them as well!
