Members of the Kingdom of Serbia Association in France participated in the celebration on the occasion of 765 years of French – Serbian friendship in Paris on June 11th, 2015.

48 765 YEARS OF FRENCH – SERBIAN FRIENDSHIP, PARIS, FRANCE (1)

Mr. Peter Petrovic, member of the Kingdom of Serbia Association in France, and the Alliance of Serbs in France, together with Admiral Henri Lacaille, president of the national federation of veterans „André Maginot”, organized the celebration of the 765 years of French – Serbian friendship, remembering the webbing of Serbian medieval King Uros I Nemanjic and Queen Hélène d’Anjou.

Members of the Kingdom of Serbia Association in France attended this manifestation in large number.

The ceremony began in front of the monument to the victims of the First and Second World War in the Paris 15 municipality, and in the protocol section participated: representative of the mayor of that municipality, Mr. Jean-Manuel Hue, admiral Henri Lacaille, representatives of the veteran associations, as well as president of the Kingdom of Serbia Association in France, Mr. Nenad Stojanovic.

The choir sang the national anthems of France and Serbia and wreaths and flowers were laid at the monument.

We are grateful to the choir from Surcin, Cultural society “Izvor” (Wellspring) from Paris as well as Artistic Association “Biseri” (Pearls) from Drancy for taking part in this ceremony.

After that started the program in the hall of the Municipality, which lasted for 2 hours and later the cocktail was served.
