On this occasion, the Crown Prince Alexander congratulated the citizens of Serbia the Statehood Day:
“From the day when Serbian leaders headed by Karadjordje gathered in Orasac in 1804, Serbia has been experiencing its own history and destiny as a restored country of which we are heirs and successors. Therefore, on this day I extend my congratulations and greetings to all who live in Serbia and perceive it as their country, their identity and their future.
Remembering the Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord of 1804, and with the desire to welcome and celebrate all future Presentations of Our Lord as united and responsible citizens of our country and the whole world, I congratulate you this great holiday”, said Crown Prince Alexander in his congratulatory message.
