Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine celebrated the Christmas Eve at the Royal Palace, respecting Serbian tradition, and members of the Kingdom of Serbia Association had the honor to be present.

   

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander, Crown Princess Katherine and TRH’s daughter Alison are traditionally spending the Christmas holidays at the Royal Palace in Dedinje.

On Christmas morning, HRH Crown Prince Alexander cut the Yule log and the evening was marked by the traditional burning of the Yule log in front of the Royal Palace. It was blessed by the priests Vladimir Levicanin and Panayotis Kartasios, together with deacon Darko Radovanovic.

Besides the members of the Royal family there were also present members of the Crown Council, Royal Medical Board as well as the members of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander’s Foundation for Culture and Education. In front of the Kingdom of Serbia Association, the guests were: Mario Majstorović, President of the Association, Saša Šušić, Vice President of the Managing Board, Andrija Šošić and Stefan Milanović, members of the Managing Board, Srđan Ćosić, Advisory Body Member, Miloš Pavković, General Secretary of the Executive Board, Predrag Medenica, Dejan Blagojević , Saša Stanisavljević and Miloš Marinković, Vice-presidents of the Executive Board and Nikola Plavšić, member of the Belgrade Committee.

The burning of the Yule log was followed by a traditional reception for all present at the Royal Palace.

Crown Prince Alexander once again invited the citizens of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska to try to spend as much time with their families in 2018 and wished them good health and happiness.

Their Royal Highnesses will attend the Christmas Holy Liturgy that will be officiated by His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej at St. Sava Temple in Belgrade at 9:00 o’clock, after which Crown Princess Katherine will visit children’s hospitals in Belgrade to deliver presents and brighten Christmas for the children who are currently their patients.

The Royal family once again wish a Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all citizens of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska with the traditional Christmas greeting “Christ is born!”
