The delegation of the Kingdom of Serbia Association visited the Savina monastery on July 28th, 2018, in Herceg Novi. HM King Alexander I visited this shrine on October 6th, 1934, before the fatal trip to Marseilles.
The delegation were: Mr. Sasa Susic, Vice President of the Association, Andrija Sosic, Member of the Managing Board and Uros Parezanovic, President of the Executive Board.
There is a special chair in the monastery where the knightly King Alexander seated, with the inscription: “This chair was last seated by HM late knightly King Alexander I Karađorđević, the Unifier just before his fatal trip to France on October 6, 1934 ”
In addition to the chair, the candles which Their Majesties King Alexander and Queen Maria and Their Royal Highnesses Prince Paul and Princess Olga had lit on this occasion are kept in the monastery.
With the blessing of Father Macarius, the members of the Association had the opportunity to see the signature of King Alexander in the book of visits kept in the monastery treasury.
