26.02.2023. Belgrade – The Association of the Kingdom of Serbia celebrated the baptism of Saint Simeon the Myrrh-bearing with a festive reception at the White Palace. In the morning, the delegation of the Association, led by the president Mr. Miloš Pavković, attended the liturgy in the temple of Saint Simeon the Myrrh-Flower in New Belgrade, led by His Holiness the Patriarch of Serbia GG Porfirije, with the concelebration of the Bishop of Moravički Sava and Aleksej of Hvostan, when he consecrated the grain and broke the slavonic cake.

After a two-year break, due to the corona virus pandemic, the members of the Association of the Kingdom of Serbia gathered with their friends at the White Palace in Dedinje.

HRH Crown Prince Alexander and Princess Katherina, due to their obligations abroad, could not attend the ceremony, but on this occasion a greeting letter from His Royal Highness was read. The event was attended by: H.E. Ms. Silvija Davidoiu, Ambassador of Romania in Serbia, representatives of the embassies of Malaysia and Algeria, representatives of the Serbian Armed Forces, members of the Crown Council, Messrs. Predrag Marković, Zoran Živanović and Darko Spasić, members of the political, cultural and public life of Serbia and numerous other guests.

The guests were also read a congratulatory letter addressed to the members of the Association by Mr. Aleksandar Šapić, Mayor of Belgrade.

The present guests were also addressed by the president of the SRBIOORS Ravnogorski movement, Mr. Predrag Bogićević, emphasizing the good cooperation between the two associations.

At the reception, the painting in which HRH Crown Prince Aleksandar made his first painting moves, which is owned by Mr. Milan Reljić from Kikinda, president of the supervisory board of our Association, and the presentation of the Association’s future web shop was also released.

President of the Association Mr. Miloš Pavković awarded the deserving members and friends of the Association certificates of appreciation.
