Kingdom of Serbia Association celebrated its Patron Saint Day – St. Simeon the Myrrh-streaming, with a reception which took place in the White Palace in Belgrade on February 26th, 2017.

Earlier the same day, Kingdom of Serbia Association had the honor that His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Mr. Irinej cut our “slava” bread on the Holy Liturgy in the Chapel of the Patriarchate of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Belgrade.

A special honor was the presence of the advisory bodies of the Crown on the reception, Messrs. Dragomir Acovic, Predrag Markovic, Dragoljub Kavran, Djurdje Ninkovic, Miroslav Gasic and Ljubodrag Grujic. The reception was also attended by Mrs. Alison Andrews, daughter of HHR Crown Princess Katherine, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps, large number of mayors and Municipality presidents, businessmen, media representatives, members of cultural and public life of Serbia and many other distinguished guests.


The program started with the original version of the Serbian national anthem “God of justice”, performed by Mrs. Mirjana Begenisic and the Art Ensemble “Saborna zora”.

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine were not able to attend because of their previously arranged schedule, but our Patron addressed the guests and greeted them over a video link.

Once again, he emphasized his support to the activities of the members of the Association and he emphasized that our work on the promotion of the constitutional parliamentary monarchy is of great importance.

Mr. Dragomir Acovic, member of the Privy Council and Honorary member of Association, addressed the guests on behalf of the advisory bodies of the Crown, followed with the speech by Mr. Mario Majstorovic, President of the KS Association.

After that, our guests had the opportunity to see the annual film of the Association, which was created by Mr. Uros Parezanovic, President of the Executive Board. You can watch the film on our You tube channel HERE

Letters of thanks were given to the individuals who enormously helped our work, Messrs. Predrag Markovic, Aleksandar Bratkovic and Srba Jovanovic.

The ceremonial part ended with the performance of Mr. Zoran Dukic from “Saborna zora” ensemble, who performed composition “Regent”, from author Vinko Stupar, and after that performance children choir “Orlici” from Batajnica performed two compositions, “Thank God for all” and “This is Serbia”

Guest had the chance to see the exhibition “Heraldry of the House of Karadjordje”.
