Belgrade, April 19th, 2015 – Kingdom of Serbia’s local board in the city of Belgrade organized the first round of qualifications in oratory competition in the premises of the Association in Vlajkoviceva street No 4.


The event started with the original version of Serbian national anthem performed by choir from the Saint Emperor Constantine and Empress Jelena church.

President of the Belgrade city board, Mr. Milos Pavkovic greeted the competitors and the audience, and he spoke to them about the Association. He told them that Kingdom of Serbia was founded in the year 2008 and it is the only monarchist association that has HRH Crown Prince Alexander’s patronage, and that we have more than 11,000 members and over 70 local boards and trustees. Mr. Pavkovic also said that our primary goal is the restoration of monarchy in Serbia.

The oratory competition consists of three qualifying rounds and the final, and the final will be held on May 5th, 2015 in the White Court.

Ten competitors were speaking this evening, and they are students of Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade, Orthodox Theological Faculty of the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Political Science of the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Philology of the University of Belgrade, as well as the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Pristina, temporarily seated in Kosovska Mitrovica..

The jury was composed of: Mrs. Violeta Jelacic Srbulj, professor of rhetoric, deacon Mr. Sava Milin, Mr. Ljubisa Jovanovic, professor and Mr. Nikola Dragutinović, actor

In the final we will have the opportunity to once again hear the words of Marco Vesic, Radovan Perovic, Irena Plaovic, Djordje Vesic and Marko Sukalo.

The second round of qualifications will be held on April 25th, 2015, in the Association’s premises at 19:00 hours.
