Belgrade, May 2nd, 2015 – Kingdom of Serbia’s Belgrade City board organized the second round of qualifications in oratory competition in the premises of the Association in Vlajkoviceva street No 4.
The event started with the original version of Serbian national anthem, performed by “Damascus” Chant Choir.
President of the Belgrade city board, Mr. Milos Pavkovic greeted the competitors and the audience, and he spoke to them about the Association. He told them that Kingdom of Serbia is the only monarchist association that has HRH Crown Prince Alexander’s patronage, and that we have more than 11,000 members and over 70 local boards and trustees. Mr. Pavkovic also said that our primary goal is the restoration of monarchy in Serbia, but also significant part of our work represents cultural and educational activities within which this competition is being held.
The oratory competition consists of three qualifying rounds and the final, and the final will be held on May 5th, 2015 in the White Court.
Nine competitors were speaking this evening, and they are students of the Faculty of Law of the Belgrade University, Orthodox Theological Faculty of the Belgrade University and students of the First Belgrade Gymnasium, The Eighth Belgrade Gymnasium and The Thirteenth Belgrade Gymnasium.
Ethno group “Slobodni strugari” and Chant Choir “Damascus” performed in the artistic part of the program.
The jury was composed of: Mrs. Suzana Lukic, actress, Ms. Jasna Bozic, journalist and Mr. Ljubisa Jovanovic, professor.
In the final we will have the opportunity to once again hear the words of Sanja Lakic, Nenad Obradovic, Djordje Kisic, Peter Kolasinac and Luka Pavlovic.
