Team of Kingdom of Serbia Association’s City Committee Subotica defended the title and again won the Vidovdan football tournament in Novi Zednik.
On June 30, 2017, matches of the semi finals of the 11th traditional Vidovdan football tournament in Novi Zednik were played. In the replay of last year’s final, our team “Kraljevina srbija V.V. Vlahovic” played against team “Vila Vesta”. In an exciting and uncertain game, the audience enjoyed in the play of both teams. Our team won with 1: 0 and the scorer was Goran Popovic.
The next day, we played against the “Pro Fund” team in the final. After a great and efficient game, our team won 6: 2 and for the third consecutive year won the prestigious cup. Stevo Kopanja scored 5 goals in the evening while Miodrag Panić scored 1 goal.
For “Kraljevina Serbia’s V.V. Vlahovic” team also played Milan Sekulic (goalkeeper), Dako Damjanovic, Nedo Nedic, Milos Grubor, Boris and Goran Popovic, Veselin Guberinić and Djordje Celin.
