Belgrade, May 10th, 2015 – Kingdom of Serbia Association’s City board Belgrade organized the oratory competition, whose finals were held at the White Palace on May 10th, 2015.
The competitors were the students of The First Belgrade Gymnasium, The Eight Belgrade Gymnasium, The Thirteenth Belgrade Gymnasium, The Fifteenth Belgrade Gymnasium, Saint Sava Gymnasium, Faculty of Law at the Belgrade University, Faculty of Political Science at the Belgrade University, Faculty of Philology at the Belgrade University, Faculty of Philosophy at the Belgrade University and the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Pristina, temporarily seated in Kosovska Mitrovica.
Sanja Lakic, student of Faculty of Law at the Belgrade University, deservedly won with the oration named “The migrations of Serbian people”, second place went to Irena Plaovic, student of Faculty of Philosophy at the Belgrade University with the oration named “About oratory”, and the third place was won by Marko Sukalo, student of Faculty of Law at the Belgrade University with the oration „Let it be, what cannot be“.
The jury that evaluated the competitors included: Mr. Predrag Markovic, member of the Crown Council, politician, writer; academician Matija Beckovic, poet, member of the Crown Council; Mr. Rados Bajic, actor and director; Dr. Dobrivoje Stanojevic, Professor of Political Science; priest Gligorije Markovic, priest at Belgrade municipality Vozdovac and a priest in the Central Prison of Serbia; Mr. Bosko Colak Antic, journalist and translator; Mrs. Violeta Jelacic Srbulj, a professor of rhetoric; Deacon Mr. Sava Milin; Mr. Ljubisa Jovanovic, professor.
Within the formal part of the program performed Choir from the Temple of Saint Emperor Constantine and Empress Jelena, Choir „Sara“, Choir „Damaskin“, ethno music band „Slobodni strugari“, soloists Suncica Stefanovic and accordionist Dusan Bralovic.
