On 16th and 17th March 2019, the Kingdom of Serbia Association visited Kosovo and Metohija and delivered help to Serbian people who live in the enclaves.

This time, the Association brought help for the 24-member family Savić from the village of Korestište, Gnjilane municipality, with 11 children who live in one house, without basic living conditions. The Association managed to provide a washing machine, friend of our Association Mr. Misko Milosevic donated computer, individual members donated clothes and footwear, as well as money, and with the help of the Princess Katherine’s Foundation and the wonderful people from Lifeline Chicago, a refrigerator, toys, school accessories and food packages.

Lifeline Chicago has provided an additional $ 2,000 in food packages that were distributed to vulnerable families in Gracanica, with the help of the organization “Mother of the Nine Jugovic”.

The delegation visited our sanctuaries and monastery communities which are the pillar of the preserving of our cultural heritage in Kosmet, as well as the stronghold of the remaining Serbian people – Visoki Decani, Pec Patriarchate, Zociste, Holy Archangels near Prizren, Gracanica, as well as the ancient Prizren, the Mother of God’s church Ljeviska, the temple of St. George and the Prizren seminary.

On the 15th anniversary of the “pogrom”, we attended prayer in the reconstructed Holy Archangels, which was attacked and heavily damaged on this terrible day of violence and crime against our people, culture and religion. To Archimandrite Mihailo, prior of the Holy Archangels, a patron and protector of this holy place and a friend of the Association, we gave the solemn flag of the Association as a gift.

Travel and delivery of help could not be realized without the support and assistance of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija of the Government of Serbia, to which we remain immensely grateful!
